The Abstract Machine

Here's our first post in a brand new blog! As a starter a pretty old patch (it's more than two years old), but still quite effective. It features four fm synthesis modules driven by algorithmic sequencers plus two beat deconstruction/granular samplers also driven by step sequencer with generative features. The  samplers have many effects such as comb filter, delay and bit reduction that can be easily automated with on the fly envelope editing. Finally 4 audio slicer with automatic random sync cutting, pitch and granulation feature are available for each instrument. Everithing is ReWire enabled and syncs to your host.
Even if the patch it's quite old, it also still has old bugs (you'll learn how lazy i am about bug removing).
You can download the patch as a Max Application (runs only on Mac OS, sorry Win users). You need to kinda of install it:

1. Unzip 
2. Launch the "installation" by opening the patch for the first time.
3. Close the patch
4. Reopen, now it's ready to play.

To have a first try, load my presets (the xml file) using the load button. Reselect a preset (e.g. 2, yes it's a bug), and turn on the samplers (the red off buttons near the step samplers, yes another bug).
